The price for prepaid minutes is pretty high.
If you have a family plan, you pay nothing for calls between family members.

My wife and I are on a family plan with T-Mobile, and all calls between the two phones are free.

The best phones I have had are Nokia or Samsung.
I presently have a nice Samsung flip phone. You can get the same phone with a camera.

I know several people on Sprint, you might want to look into that.

Never get prepaid! If you have good enough credit get a plan. I would suggest researching companies and plans to find what is going to be best for how you use the phone. You will most likely have to sign a service contract and i would recommend just a one year at first so that you can make sure you ar happy with the service/phone/plan. If you and your sister communicate often, and are good at sharing then a family plan may work for you. It is less expensive choice if you dont exceed your mins. Remember its better to start out on a plan with more mins then you think youd need then one with not enough and getstuck with overage fees. Cingular has rollover mins so you dont lose mins you don use.

At the beginning prepaid is better: you have the full control on your bill.

TRACFONE PREPAID BECAUSE THERE IS NO COMMITMENT AND YOU ONLY HAVE TO BUY MINUTE CARDS EVERY 2 MONTHS TO KEEP YOUR SERVICE GOING AND THE CHEAPEST IS FOR 60 MINUTES WHICH IS ONLY $20
