I hope you're not too upset to be alone on new years - personally I think xmas & new year is hyped up in the press as being this big family time when the reality is that a lot of people simply don't spend this time with family for varying reasons. Personally I am hundreds of miles from family and will be spending it with my man - as per several previous years. Often it is just the 2 of us at home, but hopefully we will be spending this year in the boozer - if the weather does not put us off going out! Best wishes to all x

Staying in either on your own or with a friend or partner nowadays is much better than going out to a pub. You usually have to pay for a ticket in advance now to STAND in a pub full of people you dont know, listen to music so loud that you cannot hear what someone is saying to you, queue at the bar for ages to get served then get slobbered over at midnight by all and sundry!
Stay at home if you can, I am and have for the last few years, so much better! Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!

That's the beauty about todays technology and such sites as this. think of the "lonely" people generations ago, a game of cards by the fire...!!
No one should feel alone even if physically they are not where they would like to be. I'm sure anyone dropping in on Q&A will find something within our "community" to make them smile and feel special.
Guess we will see you around then. Hope its a good one eh?

Probably. I absolutely hate going out on New Years Eve because so many people behave horribly. I'm not sure if any of my friends are having a get together. If one of them does, I'll probably go there, but if not, I'll watch the Ab Fab marathon on BBC.

I will be alone unless mates show up. Uni aged people are a bit unpredictable.
