An established website with a large number of users is looking into selling high-quality clothing (t-shirts, hoodies, caps, etc) & other merchandise with custom designs and the website's logo.
Advice is required regarding having designs made for these products (trendy designs like what is found on surf brand clothing such as Billabong), getting large numbers of items printed on a range of clothing items such as tees & hoodies, and also other items like mugs, mousepads, etc., and shipping these items worldwide.
We would like customers to be able to order items online, pay using PayPal, credit card, etc. and for a third party to process the orders and ship the items.
Companies who seem to be achieving a similar goal include Threadless (threadless.com) and J!nx (jinx.com). How do they do it? What are the steps required to get designs made specifically for our site printed onto merchandise and available via the internet to customers worldwide?
Thanks in advance for any information :)

Are there any companies who provide services for the entire production & delivery process? Something like http://www.spreadshirt.com/ but on a larger scale and without having to sell through their 'shop' interface, etc.
We basically need someone to listen to our ideas, make designs based off these, get our approval, print the designs onto the items of our choice (blank items supplied by them), and ship the products to our customers as they order from our website (which is already up and running, we do not require help building a website).
Is this at all possible? Who offers all of these services? Or is it impossible to have this all done by one company and each step will have to be done separately?

Sorry for the double post there... internet troubles :P

But basically, yes, we know what we want - the problem is we don't know who can provide these services to meet our needs.

you will need:
a screen printer (pro or DIY)
supplier of clothing/mousepads etc..
designer for logo (some screen printers offer this) &
website/store-front
models or mannequins
camera
etc...
the list goes on
try an ebay or yahoo store- i'm pretty sure you can have Paypal on pretty much any website.

probably the best thing to get started is write out your plan, it sounds like you already know what you want and need to do.
