The crimes, for which Saddam has been sentenced to death, are just a drop in the bloody ocean of his brutal dictatorship. Saddam’s slaughter of the Kurds and his use of chemical & biological WMD against Iranian civilians & Iraqi rebels were a result of American collusion
American support, military intelligence, finance & weapons technology all led to the slaughter under Saddam’s most active campaigns.
Up to 300,000 people died thanks to US support. That’s almost half the number killed by the current US/UK illegal war. Currently estimated to be 655,000 deaths!!
Yes, he’s evil, guilty of mass murder & deserves whatever he gets. But real justice has been denied to the relatives of those murdered by US/Saddam actions. Saddam will not be forced to explain the mass graves in Iraq, because America helped fill them up.
Can this US manipulated, puppet trial, for only a fraction of Saddam’s murders, be taken seriously?
Is Saddam being rushed to death to cover-up American collusion?

You don't even have to be a conspriacy theorist to know your on the right track with this fiasco (Number ...)!! Bush and the cronies do nothing about anything unless it involves money in their or their rich buddies pockets. (ie--the last six years!)
Saddam wasn't playing ball with the Saudi's, OPEC, or our Big Oil Conglomerates and Cheney's Energy meeting was where they hashed out the plan to split up Iraq--despite the contracts Saddam had signed with others to run Iraq's oil interests. When he changed currency to the Euro--that was the final straw.

I do not believe that he will be executed to cover up the US and UK crimes committed in this generation, more for the suffering he gave to those opposed to his regime.
However, the UK and the US do have crimes to answer for, although no one will "Accuse" them of wrong doing. I only hope that Anthony Blair can relax and have fun in Morris Gibbs Mansion in Florida and forget all about the suffering he not only contributed to Iraq and its people, but also our hard working army lads who have died and suffered because he totally, absolutely got it wrong by sucking up to the biggest idiot to be president of the USA (excluding >>>>> who pardoned Nixon for being what all politicians are, lying cheating, self centred bast'ards) I exclude his name as he died recently and does not have the ability to defend himself, not that any of the others will

Well, of course we don't want Saddam to talk!
Ronald Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush, and James Baker who was Secretary of State, and Robert Gates, who was the C.I.A. Director in the 1980's, how they met what was called a tilt policy in favor of Iraq and against Iran in the 1980's and developed what they thought was strategic reasons were for the United States to be doing that. Then the sad story of how it got out of control, how Vice President Bush was deeply personally involved in illegal arms transfers to Saddam Hussein in the late 1980's that shouldn't have happened, and how the Bush Administration, that's Bush one, then proceeded with the help of Boyden Gray as White House general counsel and others to cover up a scandal that in my judgment was significantly larger than Watergate. Lets put it into historical context. In the 1980's, the Reagan White House wasn't just busy defeating the so-called evil empire of the Soviet Union and out spending and bankrupting the Soviets, they were also engaged in a Middle East Policy in Iraq and Iran, that was aimed at obviously trying to defeat and neutralize the Islamic fundamentalists of Iran which were Americas perceived enemy at the time. To defeat Iran, we will fortify Saddam, he may be a killer. He may be a butcher, but he's our guy. We will keep him to keep a balance of power between Iran and Iraq.
As we look at the 1980's, Donald Rumsfeld, as Reagan envoy reported by my colleague, Jeremy Skahill at Democracy Now! in his piece, "The Saddam and Rumsfeld's Closet," in 1983 and 1948 goes to Iraq, meets with Saddam Hussein at the time when the U.N. and State Department reports had come out saying that Saddam Hussein had used gas. He wasn't there to condemn Saddam Hussein for this, but to normalize relations.
Donald Rumsfeld went to Baghdad, was met by Saddam Hussein at the airport. That's right. Donald Rumsfeld. With a big Rumsfeld grin on his face said, "I'm really glad to be here in Baghdad with my good friend, Saddam Hussein," and proceeded to carry messages back and forth for the Reagan administration of active military and economic support for Saddam Hussein. I think it's important you don't need to be a conspiracy theorist of course because there are people who make up stories. You just need to look at the facts to understand that the same Rumsfeld and the same Bush advisers, the coterie of C.I.A. and military types who have been around the family of the father and are now in the administration of the son, are the same people who built up Saddam Hussein as our guy, and turned a blind eye at his atrocities, and slapped him on the back, literally, physically, Rumsfeld in his jovial way, slapped Saddam on Iraq Saddam and said, great to do business with Iraq, our friend. And the same people used the same funds to support Osama bin Laden in the late 1970's and early 1980's in Afghanistan to fight the Soviet Union. We create these monsters and then when's not convenient we cover them up. The press is not what it used to be and has forgotten how to investigate criminal acts by the White House. That's where we are today.
