Just curious.
Hasn't happened to me ... but it happened to my husband, over something stupid that we bought at a garage sale. After all the court and headaches they finally dropped the charges and cleared his record. What a joke!!! I was just wondering if something like that has happened to anyone else.
Thanks for sharing!

he bought some type of tool... that someone had stolen and sold to us. We didn't know it at the time that it was stolen... but now after the fact we do. I think they ended up catching the "real bad guy." And that guy sure was a piece of work!

Yes, back in 73 for check forgery. The court had me fill out twenty blank checks. It took them three months to determine that my handwriting was not the same on the checks that had been forged. I spent five days locked up and three months on probation. Once the court determined I wasn't guilty they released my probation. Which by the way I don't understand. I mean back then I didn't know any better but now I wonder how they could have put me on probation before they found a verdict.

Public intoxication. Me and some friends were driving home from a wedding and got pulled over. We all got ordered out of the van were told to sit on the curb. Our driver had a few to drink, and when she took the breathalizer she was just over the limit and got arrested. As for the rest of us, since we were sitting on the curb we were now on public property, too. We got breathalizered and were found to be drunk so we got taken to jail too.

Not arrested and put in jail but someone that my brother dated stole my identity and my name was in the newpaper for driving under the influence when it was her...I never drive drunk at all and it was embarassing...it took me forever to clear my name and make the newspaper write a retraction...I can tell ya it sucks! A state trooper told me to go ahead and pay the fine that was not mine to begin with!

Not me personally, but after I moved out of the house my stepfather was arrested for "child abuse" on his kids. They arrested him right before Christmas and he had to spend it in jail. The charges were later dropped. I don't like him...but still, what a crappy legal system we can have!
