you're not in a comfort zone.
you're in an adventure called "life".
your steps are guided.
your awareness & perceptions
are as complete and true
as you want.
yes, you are willing to follow god's plan.
but, he's not a puppet master.
YOU have to participate in your life's design.
take the time to
create your fantasy life
on paper.
think big. think details.
then,
keep you eyes and heart open
for the ways
that will be made available to you
to get there.
cheers & g'luck!

I don't think it's ever 100%, but rather based on how all the factors look at the time. In your case (based on what little I know) I would say the following:
You don't want to remain in NY.
You are about to graduate and most likely be qualified for a new job.
Your son hasn't started school yet, but will be soon.
Frankly it sounds like the ideal time to leave. New degree, new job, new school for your son without really pulling him from an old one. (Kindergarten is a fresh start for everybody.)
It may not be easy right now but trust me, it's not going to get any easier. If you want a move I would plan on June/July. See what the job opportunities are like. Good luck.

If someone dangles a highpaying job in your field in your face, enough money for you and your son to live comfortably, it's time to move on. In this day and age, you pretty much have to take the best job offered you, even if it means moving.

I dont think there is "right" answer to this question. If you are wondering "when" then I would say its time. There will never be a "right" time to leave your "comfort zone".... if you wait for this next time you will be waiting for that.

If you are looking for things to happen, you cant afford to be afraid to step out and to reach out and to move out.
