They aren't. But gay men tend to take better care of themselves than straight men. Its just perception, not based on reality.
Gay people come in all sizes and shapes and relative degrees of "hot" but that is just whats going on the surface. Real beauty and sexiness is beneath the surface. Confident, smart, self assured men are hot to me.
Some of the ugliest people I have ever known came wrapped in a beautiful or handsome exterior.

Well, there is a lot of pressure on gay men to appear attractive to other men, so we tend to put more effort into maintaining our appearance than your average straight guy. Or at least I do. But gay men come in all shapes and sizes, really; perhaps it's just the hot/muscular guys who are catching your eye?

Not true...
There are many gay men who appear normal and not that muscular. Those muscular things are they way people perceived gay and those who make a stereotypical image of gay guy should look alike. Which makes the whole world think and perceive gay as hot guys or muscular only.
I think most of gay people themselves do create the typical preconceived notion to the others that gay are hot guys and muscular by displaying, portraying and behaving so. Look at all the gay magazines.. all hot guys and muscular only there. Go to the famous gay disco, you'll find mostly cute hot and muscular guys. And gay mostly tend to take care of their body well because for -sort of like- fulfilling the picture perfect around them of what a gay man should look like. To be a part of the typical smattery image of gay should look like. Let's face this true fact of life...

Well all gay people aren't like this. It is only the self-confident and open ones. The "in the closet" gays are the ones who have a low self-esteem because of their looks. And, therefore all known and open gay guys are hot.

Well it's mostly because we take care of ourselves.
We want to attract the type of person we are in some ways.
Not all gay guys are the same some are stunning and some are average. The whole thing depends on what turns you head and the rest of you on.

Maybe you are just looking at hunky men.Most are False and too self opinionated a real person lives with what they've got deep down inside. Go for the ugly duckling its by far a better person not selfish and you will find true love

you have this strange stereotypical idea in your head.I do know them,but they are outnumbered by normal guys.
Might be they stand out in a crowd,but I COULDN'T CARE LESS HOW SOMEONE HAS PUMPED UP MUSCLES,A TAN,THE BEST CLOTHES EVER
I am more interested in the inside of a dude than the outside.
The so called hotties aren't so hot at all:to much pressure etc.You really think they have easy lives?
Better not have those features and be content with yourself.I hope that this opened your view a bit:look better around you and don't only focus on the types you described.

gay men are attractive. it may but i'm not sure have to do with that they are attracted to other men. (i don't know how to explain this)..i am bisexual and i am attracted to slim, tanned, long haired brunette whitch is what i am, if i wanted to i could be a very skinny brunette with short hair and coverd in tatoos and pircings, but i'm not because i'm not attracted to that, if a man is attracted to muscular hot guys then that is what he will be because no body wants to be ugly.. i don't know how elce to explain it i think this is what it is, and straight men can have a look that they like but they can not become their perfect woman ..???

if only we all were; but unfortunately most of us are just normal guys with normal bodies and normal jobs and hair that we always fuss with to tryu to maintain some semblance of looking neat.
