There's always something going on in Egypt, maily in Cairo. What you don't see is the small army of plain clothes officers now in the resorts of Sharm etc. Nationally its a difficult place to secure however more is being done now than ever before so its the safest its been for a long time. Don't be put off at all.

There are currently no problems for tourists in Egypt. It is perfectly safe and in fact tourist figures are up from last year. The Egyptians take very good care of the tourists and you will have a fantastic time if you go.
You can check out the foreign office advice on line if you like as well.

I felt really safe as I traveled to Egypt by myself in February and then I just came back with one of my girlfriends. The police offered us plenty of security as I'm sure they want tourists to enjoy their time in Egypt. This year tourism was at an all time high for Egypt. You will have a great time. Also, Egyptians themselves will want to see that you are well taken care of they especially love Americans.
I am going back in a couple of months. I even traveled to some remote areas when there has hardly ever been an American in the past.

Safe, if you are worried about terrorism, the police have things under control and touristic destinations such as Luxor, Aswan, Sharm, Hurghada, Taba etc are well protected 24/7. There have not been any incidents during the past 6 months. One last note, over 6 million tourists a year, nothing to worry about.
Enjoy your trip

Probably just about as safe as anywhere else tbh...I just got back from Jordan ie. in the middle of a war zone; between Iraq, Israel, Syria etc and I'm still here! Don't put your life on hold because of fear; you'll miss out on some fantastic opportunities otherwise. I went to Egypt 3 years ago and it was absolutely amazing; DON'T MISS IT!

I went twice once in 2000 and once after september 11th. I think it's safe, it just depends on where you go. Egyptians are really nice I ended up marrying one. Anyways, you won't find many people if you decide to tour the oasis in the desert, it's well worth it!

Saudi Arabia isn't open for tourism and consequently does not subject any vacationer visas. i want to propose to bypass to Qatar, Oman or the UAE. those international places are tourism friendly, open to Westeners and intensely risk-free. the main to be sure is interior the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), while Oman is likewise an excellent united states with many effective sites. i want to propose you visit cyberspace and/or purchase some holiday advisors to learn out which united states suits you the perfect related to your interests, figuring out to purchase entertainment, etc., etc.
