I had this same situation back in February, I made a new friend through my best friend, and the 3 of us hung out and stuff but then she started lying, and my best friend and i came to the conclusion that she would lie in different situations just to fit in. ur friend may lie so she can be accepted, but she should know she doesn't have to lie to do so or she'll lose friends. im not friends with my ex friend anymore, and neither is my best friend. we were only friends like 6 months and then my best friend and i quit being friends with her. and her best friend can't be friends with her anymore because her dad doesn't like her prank calling and being who she is.ur friend should stop lying before she loses her friends. tell her u accept her as who she is and she doesn't need to lie to be accepted

There are basically a few reasons people lie.
1) To cover up something
2) To protect someone
3) Information requested is either too personal or none of the others persons business.
4) To hurt another person
5) Because they pathologically can not stop themselves.
Those are the reason people lie.

Depends what he's lying about...do they lie about his life, family, and past? Or do they always make excuses and cover their ***? Neither is good. Maybe you should sit down with them and talk to them, but they just might lie and say they has to go get something.

well lets see! first of all if ur friend lies to u all the time then she is not a real friend to you or maybe u are the problem that is making lie to you maybe she is afraid of you in some way.
try talking to her and ask her why she keeps lieing to you maybe she might open up to you and tell you why she lies to you all the time

People lie because they are insecure-whether with themselves or in situations/relationships. I have found the bes way to deal with aliar is to say-I think you are lying and why?

It might be a sickness, like a pathological liar, but it could also be a sign of low self-esteem. Maybe you should ask him/her?

your friend... like boyfriend .. or friend? ... if it's about boyfriend ... u should get over , find someone else .... if it's about friend .... then u can't call him friend ....
