Well I'm not the one who reported you... I gotta get that clear before I answer you honestly otherwise people are gonna be on my case.
Questions like that do actually violate the Y!A community guidelines. It falls under chatting and personal communications. Y!A was never meant to be a place for people to get together and ask questions like that. Here's the section of the guidelines you violated:
3. NO CHATTING OR PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS: You may meet friends or other interesting people on Yahoo! Answers with whom you'd like to engage in personal correspondence. If so, please use the chat option on your profile page, rather than use Yahoo! Answers itself. Questions that are chatty, or attempts to engage others in personal communications, will be removed. Some examples of questions that do not comply with the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines are below. These are just a few examples, and we reserve the right to change, remove, or add to the list at any time, without notice:
1. How are you?
2. Anyone want to chat?
3. What's your name?
4. How old are you?
5. Do you like my avatar?
6. What time is it?
7. Who here likes steak?
8. How many points do you have?
9. Who likes Britney Spears?
I've gotten questions reported for being chatty, too. As long as you don't make it a habit you're fine.

Quite stupid. Was it for "personal communications or chatting"? I've never understood that complaint. Your reporter must be a humorless prig whose parents were pelted with Skittles or Starbursts by an merciless gorilla.

I'm trying to see the problem with that question and I can't find anything wrong with it. Yahoo will give a violation for an innocent question like that but will let a racist, sexist, or homophobic question stay up with no consequences whatsoever. Kinda makes you wonder about the yahoo staff.....

I think people with nothing better to do just go around this site and report people because they think they are funny. Try not to let it get to you. It just feeds their fuel.
