Everyone is a hypocrite at one point or another in life. We all change our views or methods of doing things. Otherwise, we move forward on the same bland plane of existence, never learning, never growing. How could you admit you are not hypocrites? You are hypocrites for assuring us you are not. Tell us you don't lie too.

Me! I have surprising integrity. I might forget, but I don't forgive something that doesn't have a good excuse to support it. And because I'm the only person who isn't a hypocrit, this planet earth will last for as long as I live. According to the dream I have had about the end of the world, this world perishes by very strong winds that will start in a number of days equal to my age in years when I die. And my dreams are usually precognitive.

Every mortal on this planet earth is a hypocrite. The distinction, nevertheless, should be made the breath of hypocrisy. Needless to say, some are way more hypocritical than others. Some do it for self survival while others do it as a predatory method. The predatory hypocrit that's the one you need to be careful to avoid.

Is not hypocrisy relative unto the moment and to the individual?
For instance:
Partial hypocrisy: when a parent tells their kid not to smoke it's bad for them. They do it in an attempt ot protect their kid. However, in reality they themselves probably tried smoking just for the hell of it when they were a kid or perhaps they are even a current smoker.
That is hypocritical but for honorable reasons.
Stupid hypocrisy: a man says it's okay for him to be unfaithful because he's man and has a greater need for sex and it's not the same for women or they just don't understand.
Complete hypocrisy: letting your son's girlfriend sleep over but not your daughter's boyfriend because it would seem like you are condoning or even encouraging your daughter's promiscuity. When in reality you're just not comfortable with the thought of your daughter having sex but the boy it's not such an issue.
I've been guilty of that last one. And it is relative unto the kids' age, of course. Pre-college is a no-way situation for me.

Speaking on the side of the parental units out there. . . We err in an effort to protect you always and sometimes ourselves. All the while trying to smooth the path for you. It's a habit that is developed at your birth and is very hard for some and impossible for others to break. Best intensions aside . . . sometimes we need to let you scrape your knees and just keep band-aides on hand.

Some people throw the word hypocrite around like they're handling a hot potato slathered with poison. It's just a word. Not an arrow aimed at students by teachers armed with political agendas and brainwashing propaganda, dredged from their glory days because they are still stuck in the '60s/'70s. Please.

the one who says he`s not an hypocrite is a liar and the one who says he`s not a liar is an hypocrite... unfortunately we are all liars, hypocrites or both.
