there is no shortage of oil believe me! thats what they want you to think so they can keep the fuel prices high, there will be cars that use gas around for another 100 years, so I'm sure you won't have to worry about that.

I work at a car dealership in New Hampshire. We sell cars for the price customers will buy them at. Right now our top cars are: Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, and basically any of the hybrid vehicles (even though they are a bit more pricey) Car prices are not going to go down, they are just going to find more conventional ways to use the gas they need, which is just going to make the prices go up even more. Most people are buying economic cars, which is why the above vehicles are our most popular.

Who says oil resources are low? Back in the 70's they predicted the world would run out of oil by 1990.

Whoever said oil resources are running low?
There's plenty of oil for the forseeable future.
It's just not a good idea, it will end eventually.

It's going to take a while. The gas guzzlers will become less common as the price of fuel goes up.
