I love the name Jonah because it's not that common, but I want to get other people's honest opinions. Some have told me that the first thing that they think of is the whale story from the bible. How about you? What are your thoughts/opinions? And what do you think about the whole name...

I like either combination and they both sound good together.
I don't think of the whale when I hear Jonah - I think of the absolutely adorable little boy who lives across the street from me. He's the only kid named Jonah who I have ever met but I know at least 3 Noah's.
Either way, he's your child so name him whatever YOU like best and don't worry about what other people think. There will always be someone who doesn't like your choice for some reason or another.

Jonah sounds like a "bad luck" name to me.
Nathaniel is fine, but he'll end up being called Nate or Nathan.
I liked Noah Gabriel, except that Gabriel sounds a bit girly to me. Why not Noah Daniel, if you like Bible names?

jonah is a very cool name but think the nathaniel part has too much going on. how funny too because my wife and i started picking out names before we even have kids and what a task.

I think johah is great, ever since i saw Sleepless in Seattle, don't change your mind ( not noah) sounds like a boat builder with a large boat full of animals....good luck
