Why do some people continue to pit rap vs rock? They are two totally different genres of music. I'm not saying you have to like either of them, but if you like one, why must some people hate on the other?

that's how people act. we like to think everything we like is the best while everything else sucks. people don't want to believe their sh-t stinks too.

I agree with you girl...i was just looking at a question like that and im like those two cant even be compared. Rap is rap and rock is rock - they are on different levels so i dont even see the sense in comparing them.

Most people who do not like RAP, put Rap v's Music, not just rock.. It is hard to legitimize angry people swearing to the beat of some synthesized rhythm as music.

I listen to Rapp music but I also like some rock music. - When Rapp first came out there was controversy with other music catagories and no one believed that Rapp would go as far as it has. But for the past few years Rapp and Rock artists have actually worked together making music and it sounds pretty good. For those who like one and dislikes the other I think if they tried listening to something else they find that they might find out that they like something new.

I know what you mean..... I dont hate any genre's of music, I prefer some instead of others..... I dont mind what people listen too... it dosent bother me.
