bash the church for cheating us out of our self, stealing our charity and lying about the scriptures?
I'm not saying it does this...but a friend thinks so...
How can they work that out?

The reason your friend is bashing the Church is because he feels that everyone is lying, cheating, and stealing...He's just picking on the Church....It could have been any group or topic
In terms of your friend working this out, what you should do is to continue to be his friend because deep down, he is a good person....He's just angry at himself and the World.....Start at his inner anger!
Warning.....If you do get at the root of his problem, he may reject YOU and turn his anger TOWARDS YOU.....
