any way of still burning cds where can i find new burning software for free

Uninstall the cd burner and reinstall it. Windows will add the proper drivers for you to burn with. Also try to get Ahead nero it is a good burning program.

If you're talking about Cd's and not DVDs, Xp has CD burner in-bedded within.
