The bill for the national ID is in 2008 but when will they try and make us have the chip to. I'd rather be beheaded than recieve the mark. They're already building concentration camps for those Americans who will resist. Liberty is no more. If you don't believe look it up!

Type David Terrell in Yahoo and go to The Endtime Messenger. Or type in Mark of the Beast. You will Find the answers. I'm not crazy I just give reverence to our Creator and our Lord God and the Son Jesus Christ.

The microchip has a upc code which is 666, if thats not Satan's number, I am crazy. It is to be installed in the warmest part of the body our foreheads and in the right hand. it's already been made through Veripay. The Bible says that without the mark you will not be able to buy, sell or trade. In the future you will need that chip to do these things, it will be a cashless society. Sounds like the Mark of the Beast to me! No chip - no eat!

I don't know about the other people you talked about but alot of people here seem to think the government will never do this. Everybody needs to read the book Spychips by Katherine Albrecht to get another view of the RFID industry. They want to do these things and they will. You call this girl crazy, why don't you take just five minutes and do some research and see how right she is. Tommy Thompson the former Secretary of Health and Human Services is now on the board of VeriChip, the company that wants to do all this stuff. Do your research people!

Oh, please. The National ID is a good thing. It means that a person who has their license suspended in Ohio can't go get one in West Virginia. It means that if a person has a warrant out for them in one state, they can't escape it by moving to another.
The microchip is NOT a fact (unless you go to prisonplanet.com, which has it right next to their UFO stories).
Neither are the concentration camps. I once read an article about them, and it said that one was being built at McChord AFB/Fort Lewis, in Washington State. Well, guess what. I had just come from there when the article was written. I've been all over both bases (which are a few miles apart, and do NOT occupy the same space) and I saw NOTHING of the sort. It would have been more realistic if they had said that a concentration camp was being rebuilt on the Puyallup Fairgrounds, which is where Japanese-Americans were detained during WWII. But they didn't. The concentration camps aren't what the rumors say they are, and it's not something that's being seriously pursued by the federal government.
Furthermore, I am so TIRED of people misconstruing Bible prophecy. The time of the Mark of the Beast hasn't come, and it won't until the Middle East is peaceful. I don't think that's happening any time soon.

The microchip is not necessarily going to be implanted in the States, although the end time is definelty here. Yes by May of 2008 everyone will be required to take the national id, unless something is done. Although this war in Iraq is likely to get out of hand, which might end up becoming world war III, therefore its possible our country might reject this New world order. It is clearly seen that Israel will be protected during the Great Tribulation, therefore the U.S is most likely the canidate. Since it has always protected Israel in the past. Although Europe, Russia, and most other countries will definelty be under the rule of the anti-christ. This is definetly on the verge of happening, its just a matter of time, most likely very soon.
Check out this site and you will be well informed by what the bible has to say.

I've been hearing about them implementing this chip for about 25 years now and it still isn't here. Also don't forget the mark will be in
"the right hand or the foreheads". See Revelation 13:16, it won't just be in everyone's hand.
If you're a Christian and are following God, you need not worry, God's hand is on you, and I believe we will not even be here for that. If you are worried about others, pray like you've never prayed before.
If you are not a Christian, well I'm not going to preach.

The crazies are out in force today folks...

EDIT: I should have said more about why I think this poster is nuts. It's not because of the spychip thing, I've been expecting that for a long time. It's the whole "mark of the beast" thing. Why do people always insist on adding mythical or biblical crap to something that's a problem all on its own?

I don't know about the mark of the beast or the concentration camps, but the national ID bill is a scary thing, check out the link from congressman Ron Paul, republican congressman from Texas and his opinions on the bill, everyone needs to reads this, regardless of your political leanings

Man, I have been hearing this crap for going on 30 years now. In the 1970's it was your social security number, in the 1980's the UPC barcode, and in the 1990's the IRS. Now it's the verichip. Sheesh!

Nothing new under the sun.

Elway is right: the verichip is a problem all on its own, without bringing in all of that "mark of the beast" hysteria.

Uh, I don't think that this will be something made mandatory. Doesn't America pride itself on being the land of the free? This will not happen in any democratic nation...atleast not in my lifetime I know (which is another 50 years).
I guess you can interpret it however you want. I don't see it being the mark of the Beast though. It's just technology.

My God. More things to make me sad about the world we live in! I had no idea that it was in the works. This puts me in the mind of the movie Enemy of the State where a person is put under surveillance and privacy is non existent. Please provide a link for more information because this is very alarming!
