Yes, but only because everything you do reflects how you feel about yourself, or it will make you feel a certain way about yourself whether you like it or not. Doing 'good deeds' tends to make people feel better about themselves--in fact, I think it's questionable whether anyone truly does anything solely for someone else without a thought for themselves in the mix. Even when you try to make someone you love feel better , for example, because you love them--you know that if they are hurting, you will hurt too. Anyway, that's a question for another day. Ultimately, the way you feel about yourself will dictate your actions in the future--and I think the better you feel about yourself, the less likely you are to do things that punish yourself, i.e. self-fulfilling prophecies, bad relationship decisions, crappy jobs, etc. So yes, I do think doing good deeds helps you have a better future, but not for the reason most people think.

doing moral or the right thing every time...it might increase your chance to have a better future. because at some point you will be rewarded for your "attitude" . in the same time there's a chance of not having a better future doing those good deeds...cause it's LIFE....is not like a game ( where you increase your strength to have a bigger damage ), if u know what i mean!

Yes. Every action causes a reaction. Don't think that whatever you do happens and ends there. Its effects ripple out across people, space and time, causing change as it goes. Your one good deed could be the beginning of peace on Earth.

This isn't about expecting payment, it's a natural law like gravity or the water cycle. If parents taught this to their kids maybe the world wouldn't be dying.

Not necessarily because I have seen people having tough struggles in their lives despite doing good deeds. "Wise people" say that this is because HE is testing how good you really are. Ironically, when you get have good future then the same people tell you that you are rewarded for your deeds. So, it is probably better to ignore both sides of argument.

You do good deeds because it makes you feel good (that's it). It has nothing to do with the good future.

Not Really, but its better than throwing people under the bus. Doing good, should be second nature- one should not do things with expectations in mind.

“The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention.”

"How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world”

“Neither fire nor wind, birth nor death can erase our good deeds”

“It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it”

“No amount of good deeds can make us good persons. We must be good before we can do good.”

“A good deed never goes unpunished.”

“A man must be willing to die for justice. Death is an inescapable reality and men die daily, but good deeds live forever.”

If doing good deeds makes you happy, yes. Of course, it's not good if you're only looking for a reward anyway, so I guess it's always a yes.

People who do good deeds in hope of a good return play the lottery in hope of a pay check.

Yes I believe that doing good will bring you good things as long as they are combined with good choices. Have you heard what you reap is what you sow? and what you get out is equivalent to what you put in? all those things are true in life. The pay it forward does work because we all rely on each other for things no matter how small.the world isn't as big as we think in some cases.

Yes, each deed (good or bad) is like a seed planted. You reap what you sow.
