I feel too big to be 28 weeks. I've talked about this with both my OB/GYN and my doula and they say I'm fine - I just have a big baby, but it's beginning to get annoying - people off the street say, "Having the baby soon, huh?"
I was at a friend's bridal shower, in my new maternity dress, feeling very pretty. The bride-to-be's mom comes up to me and quietly says, "Please don't bring the baby to the wedding - I really don't want a four-week-old baby crying in the middle of the service." I was shocked - the wedding was in February, meaning she assumed I was due in January, when in fact, I'm due in March!
Here's a picture of me in the dress I wore to the shower:

Has anyone dealt with this? How? Personally, I'm proud of my belly, but other people's comments are really getting to be too much.

I completely back you up on this. If the ultra sound said your only having one than go ahead and believe it. You'd know if it was twins by now. And pregnant women are not "big", their beautiful. You are carrying a life, that is so so special. Be proud of that belly. Try not to let people get you down on your size. You dont need that pressure being pregnant. If this helps. My mother had two kids. I was 10Lbs 9Oz. 25 1/2 in long. I was a big baby. Yet se wasn't that big with me. My sister was 8 lbs 4 oz 21 inches long, and she was a house so-to -speak. I've been pregnant twice. One time at 5 weeks i looked like i was almost 3 months. The other time i was 5 months and i just had this little curve. It all depends. And if your having a big baby then be proud of that.

I like the dress! What a mean woman! I can't believe she would say that to you! I'm Sicilian so it's very easy for me to snap back, which I DONT recommend!!!
I can honestly tell you that you are not alone! I only gained a little over 20 lbs with my first (my son), with my daughter, I gained 60 lbs! Not just in my belly- all over!!! I'm at 39 weeks with #3 and I've gained about 40, which stinks! You're feeling unattractive as is and people's comments aren't helping!!! What helped me this time around was refusing to wear the maternity clothes- I know they are getting a little more fashionable now adays but I ended up looking much better with the next size up in clothing with empire tops~ but realize that the brides mom was just mortified that she couldn't pull that off when she was prego and instead was forced to wear the ugly Moo-Moo's they had back when!! Enjoy clothes you feel good in because with women like that out there you'd exhaust yourself trying to please everyone!
I would love to send you a maternity tee that says 'Bite Me' and have you wear that to the wedding!! HA HA Just kidding....

People are inconsiderate and don't think before they speak. You have every right to be proud, that woman was just a rude and inconsiderate *****. I'd of told her, well considering the fact that the baby isn't due until march, I don't think that will be a problem. But since you are so rude to assume and since its such a huge concern for you, I think I'll let your daughter know that I won't be attending her wedding as a guest and why. In fact, I believe I'll just take my shower gift and leave right now. Have a nice day.

I went through the same thing its just that you might be having a big baby that likes to eat I'm 5'3 and Gained over 50 lbs and reached 213lbs at my labor date. She would not come out so I had a C-section. She weighed 8lbs 12oz. Before I was pregnant I was only 140lbs. People that are getting married are just stressed and weird. baby cry lets hope she'll understand later down the line

That first percentdid ask your self me. the 2d no longer lots. the 2d percentis unquestionably very captivating!! i could get it blown up & framed unquestionably lol. You do seem super for 28 weeks. yet, replaced into that taken morning or nighttime? If taken at nighttime then that ought to describe it. i seem huge at nighttime, and awaken noticably smaller in the morning. (dunno why, yet this is the way it incredibly is been this time) I carry small, and have a tricky time gaining weight. Plus I carry to the back, so my back kills me consistently and the toddler looks to sleep on my backbone. So i've got no longer had that prob, different than at nighttime inspite of each and every thing day up with the toddlers and eating. in the adventure that your rfile isn't annoying, i does no longer be the two. I consistently have a tendancy to assert don't be set on a million toddler in that style of undertaking. however the opportunities of lacking a 2d, or no longer feeling a 2d are exceptionally narrow to none. So i could in simple terms savor it. i be attentive to that has to sound stupid, yet i've got in no way had a huge finished pregnant abdomen like that, and in %. (final being pregnant for me, tubal after beginning), i'm chuffed to have a greater abdomen this time....inspite of the recent stretchmarks haha. lower back i does no longer be woried in any respect. Youve in basic terms have been given 12 weeks left, and the final 4 you're reported to no longer benefit lots to any weight. So i does no longer hassle. i could get that 2d photograph blown up and framed nonetheless, you seem astonishing in it!

For some reason people don't seem to mind being rude when you are expecting. From asking how much you've gained to are you having twins? I think you look fine for being 28 weeks and don't let the ignorance of others stress you out it's not good for you or the baby.

You look beautiful - truly beautiful! You have such a cute belly and I can't see why this woman would be so rude! You seem like a friendly person! If you and your baby are healthy, then you have no reason to feel embarrassed or even be harrassed because of your pregnancy.

We all carry babies differently. My friend was so tiny at 8 months everyone thought she was about 5 months so it does go both ways. If your doctor is fine with your size then you shouldn't worry. Don't let others make you feel large or anything because big babies are healthier than tiny. Good luck.
