I was wondering what it could be. I know that she isn't cold? I am still taking some pain meds from my operation, could that be it?

It's normal for their lips to quiver. It's a sign of an immature nervous system, but it's normal.

My baby's bottom lip used to quiver too. It eventually stopped as time passed.

I don't think it's anything to worry about but if it ever becomes a true concern, contact the doctor.

When babies cry or get upset, the bottom lip can quiver. It may just be nerves firing and trying to establish "connections" to the muscles in the chin and face areas.

I think every parent goes through this :) i know I did and I asked my Dr. because I am a first time mom and very worried! She told me not to worry it's just a reflex that they have and it goes away!

If I remember right, it has something to do with a lack of muscle control. My 17 month old does it sometimes..They grow out of it...don't worry
