Why do your nails keep growing after you're dead?

They don't. As your skin dehydrates, it shrinks and pulls back from the nails a little, making appear as if the nails are still growing.

the skin and flesh shrinks so the nails look longer but i have a question for you - how many dead people r u examining?

They don't. It only appears that they do because the skin and flesh shrink.
