Well, do you ever consider then, why light skin people are always trying to get a tan - & get dark skin. Don't worry about your looks, just be true to yourself. It's what's in the heart that counts. And, if you have a beautiful personality & treat others with respect & honesty - your beauty will shine & glow. Nobody has the right to condemn anyone else's looks, that is just rude. Remember words can hurt. Let your beauty shine by being a truly gifted wonderful person by helping others & lending a hand, compliment someone else make their day, smile at a stranger - it could be the one thing that will brighten their day.

All light skinned women are not attractive. Just as all dark skinned women are not attractive.
Whitney houston is georgeous. There is no white women including myself that is that pretty. I use to dream of being Hawaiian after seeing this movie with those women in it.
Being Irish with strawberry blond hair that's curly and sticks out in every direction. While straight hair is in. My mom promised my freckles would go away. Guess what they didn't.
I thought I would never have a boy friend. Then this guy came along who loved curly red hair and blue eyes. You only need one.
You can't marry them all anyway. When the right one comes along he will think you are the most beautiful women in the world.
This guy confided in me once;
"I have always been attracted to black women. But they won't give me a chance because I have blond hair. Women like men that are dark. So the one who loves you may be your oposite.
Mine is.

I don't believe light skinned people are prettier than dark skinned people. Part of it is a matter of preferance. For me, some of the attractiveness comes from what's inside the person.

I hear you
I have a friend that gets sooo much attention...not only b/c she is light skinned
the guys even tell me
I'm not trying to insult my friend ...I'm telling the truth
she doesn't take care of herself...her hair always looks fried
sometimes she goes out with dry lips
she'll go out looking her worst ..and I mean worst...and guys will still be all over her
honestly...to me... if I just met her...I wouldn't consider her competition
me...I go out...with my hair looking fresh...moist lips...best clothes
nails cut and neat...
and still...I can't compete
it's not even like I try hard...I go out looking fresh b/c that's how I was brought up...I treat myself and others with respect
and the guys tell me...I'm pretty... and then give her all the attention
and it gets to you after a while
my sisters don't even believe me..when i tell them she gets any guy she meets
of course there are also guys who prefer dark skinned girls over light skinned...but why would you even choose one over the other..when there are soo many who are sensitive about that subject-- why should this be an issue....?? why does this make people cry themselves to sleep? it's really sad...how superficial this world is
and we're all guilty of it

In our nation this subject is always present. I say beauty is as beauty does. and its really true. She/ he who behaves beautifully is beautiful. Think of the scenarios many people fall into. " I married her and fell in love with her because of her beauty but shes a thief, whore, trouble maker, gossiper, dumb as wood, these are things you just cant live with.
The lighter you are the better your treatment. What you have to do is demand, expect better treatment. You have to put it out there. You will accept nothing less.

Haha u tell that girl who said that to you, "How do you explain Naomi Cambell and Wendy Williams?? Just because Wedny's lighter, it means she's prettier? That's bull*hit. I don't associate myself w/too many black people because of all this right here. A black person will tell me "I'm pretty for a dark skinned girl" but ANY other race will tell me I'm just pretty/gorgeous. they can call me a sell out cause it don't matter. I'm tired of how some of them are sooo ignorant and can't get OVER themselves!
