me and my partner of 8 years was arguing tonight not relly bad untill i asked him if he had been behind my back with this girl called beth, he then threw the remote at me which hit me in the face then he said it was my fault cause i wound him up was it my fault? he has punched me before but that was along time ago which left me with a broken nose and 2 black eyes. we have 2 kids
my questions are
1- was it my fault cause i wound him up
2-what should i do (i cannot stay with relatives and do not want to go to a shelter

Leave NOW, go to a domestic abuse center. They can help you get on your feet and get out of this situation. For you and your kids. You are abusing your children by raising them in this environment.
If you won't leave for yourself at least leave for your kids.

Ok i was in a relationship with a guy who made the same excuses, first of all girl this is not your fault a man should NEVER
blame you for his actions. and even if he was "wound up " he should still have never done what he did.. if the place you live in is yours then i would ask him to leave that would be the best option if you have nowhere to go...and if you choose to do that and he does tend to get violent i would suggest having the cops there when asking him to leave..I hope you figure this out good luck :)
