On the way to town this afternoon, a young man sped past me during very unsafe driving conditions. We had freezing rain and then 4 inches of new snow on top of that. The highway was very icey. He sped by about 5 miles over the posted. A quarter mile up the road, he was in the ditch, kicking his tire and swearing. Would you have stopped with your 4 wheel drive and pulled him out or just gone by laughing?

I would have stopped
rolled won the window and asked him how much money he has on him
then depending what he said, I would either tell him to hand over the money and get out of the way, and pulled him out, and I would have wanted him to keep his wallet where it was until he got close to me so I could make sure he was telling the truth, and if he did not have enough say bye as I laughed and drove away, or if he said anything except how much he had, as I was rolling up the window laughed and drove off...

I would stop and help then get back in my car and laugh my butt off all the way to work. It would have made my day, that is as long as they were okay of course.

pull him out. he learned his lesson. that crap happens all the time here (in SD). trust me, once they're in the ditch, they're ashamed of themselves and won't do it again for a while.
