Unfortunately, yes both of those things are true. He's been in jail on a number of occassions for drug possession and domestic abuse.

You take Al Sharpton serious about everything? James Brown was a lot better known than him, and he never claimed to be an authority on people. James Brown was good, but I have NEVER heard anyone say he was a great role model
