Couple thing to really consider: You will get hundreds of hours worth of value by playing PES 6. However, after one calendar year that same game will significantly drop in price, thereby decreasing it's real-world value. I mean, you wil greatly enjoy the game; but with all video games, time and new technology pretty much renders them useless after a very short spell. (You know you're not still playing PES 4)
Now on the other hand, with the Liverpool kit, like all sports collectibles, the passing of time will increase its value. If you can find a Liverpool top with a name of a player on it like Gerrard or even Alonso, you can be sure that the top will increase in value even more so. After a few seasons, no matter if the player is no longer on the Liverpool roster, the item will be at least twice what you paid, as long as you don't go burning holes in it with a cigarette, etc.
Unlike gridiron, where NFL jerseys are pretty much the same year in year out, with perhaps the slightest of alterations to design, football/soccer jerseys are constantly changing. Either in the actual shirt design or in the sponsorship, which is the most common change. Manchester United is a good example (though I know a Liverpool fan doesn't wants to hear anything good coming from ManU): be that as it may, they've gone from Sharp, Sharp Viewcam, Vodofone, and now AIG Investments in less than ten years. All that unique season to season change simply makes the sports items that much more worth collecting. And in turn more valuable over the years.
Personally, if you're a true football fan, get PES 6 for sheer pleasure of the here and now, and then get that Liverpool top for that nostalgic pleasure that you're sure to feel in the years to come.
