I just want to leave and move in with my girlfriend. I havent been getting along with my mom or any of my family. I would still continue school and everything but just not live at home

if she doesn't protest it. She can't stop you but her wishes schould be considered

You would have to look at Illinois Law and see what age you are considered an adult. Often time, even if it isn't until you are 18, there is a gray area that will be looked at. Most likely, as long as she doesn't protest it, no one will do anything. If she does protest, you can file to emancipate yourself from her. This would basically acknowledge you as an adult, and "on your own". But, if this is done, and 2 months down the road you are broke, with nowhere to go, she would not be bound to take you in if she chose not to. It is something that needs to be well thought out.

Like everyone else said, above all, at least finish high school.

in Wisconsin the police wouldn't try to bring you back as long as you were not getting into trouble. But please...work and finish high school.
