I think it depends on the time I have or how bored I am. Sometimes the short answer is the best answer..some have been long but in general most don't like reading a huge long replies. I know if I really want advice I want many answers with not too long not too short answers and if I want more info from them I will email.

It depends on the type of question!! like this one will be short and sweet, and working towards a point since you seem to not need help ; 0 )

I don't care about the points. I've yet to find out if they're redeemable anywhere. I answer because I like communicating with a world of total strangers. Sometimes I'll give a long answer if the question interests me, or if I feel I have something to offer. I will give a one word answer if that's all that's needed.
Some questions are just so dumb that they require a dumb answer.
Is that long-winded enough for you?

Always to help the person in need, unless it's a quiz type question. You get the points regardless of whether or not the answer is short and sweet or long and drawn out.

I prefer to be short and sweet, but sometimes I get so involved that I can't stop myself from typing. Most of the questions I answer are joke-type questions. But if I answer a serious one, then I go long. (It's not just about the points for me).

If it is a question that needs a longer answer I will type- I think I can type about as fast as I talk so I don't really care about writing a drawn out answer if I think it can help.

Well it all depends. Some of my answers are poorly thought out and could seem drawn out. Other questions are too the point, and clear.

A little of both. It depends on whether I think I can really help someone. If not, then short and sweet.
