Everything previous people said is right. If you are developing normally otherwise (mean: if your breasts are growing and you have some degree of pubic and axilary hair) you're probably normal. If none of it is happening, that is, if you still have the body of a child, you should be seeing a doctor by now.
If the cramps are very intense and regular, you should also see a doctor to check that everything is anatomically normal "inside"
You'll probably want to see an gynecologyst once a year for all your adult life, so it might be a good idea to start now.
And something else: once girls have regular periods, their growth is not as fast. So as long as you don't have it, you are getting taller. Enjoy.

Everyone gets their period at different times. I didn't get mine until I was 14 1/2, and even after that I only got it once or twice a year. You will probably get it soon, especially getting cramps. You could see when your mom got it because usually it is around the same time she did (but not always). Also, to get your period you need to have a certain amount of body fat...if your thin it may take longer.

don't stress out about it. Every woman's body is different. If you're getting cramps, then that usually means that things are on the way. It's very normal for cycles to be irregular for the first few years. Just be patient and it'll happen. :) Best thing to remember is not to stress. That can actually cause your cycle to become even more irregular. :)

Everyone is different so I wouldn't worry. If you're really active that can put of the start of your period for a while. Your weight can also be a factor. If you're very thin you most likely won't start until you gain a bit of body fat.

A co worker of mine didn't get hers till she was 18. She went to the dr at 16 and he said she was fine. I wouldn't worry about it. It will come when it's ready. It's so uncomfortable you shouldn't rush it.
