According to the Mayan calendar, Human civilization is supposed to end on December 11, 2012.
And in 2029, a meteor will pass so close that it will be below our satellite orbits, or it will hit. A big one. Really big.

Nostradamus made predictions out to the year 3797. Doesn't mean the world ends then. But if his predictions are accurate as so many people give him credit for, then the world doesn't end before then.
