Yes. Study extremely hard. Make your life microbiology and nothing else.

not that hard need to be good at memorization... lab should be easy its very visual ... memorise and you will be fine. any book is good not too many new things ... if you need to know the treatments too look up for different antibiotics and antiviral and and antifungals...etc good luck:)

you want to get a pure culture so you know that nothing else is growing with the bacteria of interest. you don't want contamination!! :)
