Yes, i clearly think he is. Winning a triple crown, and winning his second Cy Young (Everyone says it should have been his third).
Though he does have his ups and downs like every pitcher does at times, he truly is a beast.
I also say that the Twins have to win a World Series ring for this guy, he is just too good to retire without a ring. Retire a Twins or as a Major League Player.
I will be truely sad if he leaves Minnesota.

Not only he's the best pitcher in the game, he's probably the most expensive player right now. If the Red Sox paid JD Drew 70 million and the Royals paid Gil Meche 55 million, I don't know how much Santanha would be worth today if he was a free agent.

the most dominant pitcher in the Bigs the last 3 years.
only starting pitcher i can think of (off the top of my head) in the last 20 years to be this dominant, Orel Herscheiser, when he ran off that amazing scoreless inning streak.
of course, Santana is now doomed since I bought his jersey.

yes definitely. he's not the kind of pitcher who will go downhill once they lose a little bit of velocity. he's got three great pitches, and perfect location. the last guys have this kind of dominance were randy and schilling in arizona

He surely is up there with the best. I don't like picking "the best pitcher" though, 'cause everyone has their off days, batters they aren't so good against, etc.

For a starter he is. But he doesn't do as well in the first half of the year. In the second half he is just amazing.
