I think it's ok if your husband knows. If it's not sexual and you only see him once in awhile I don't think its a big deal. BUT be careful of your feelings and watch what he says. Don't put your marriage in jeopardy over holding hands.....

All the answers you have received have been just wonderful, told you how it is.. I have not much to add, but to say, listen to the all these Answers. These people are right, be warned, you cannot play with fire and not get burned.. Which guy would be content to go out with a girl and just hold hands? Is this guy holding out for bigger things in the near future? And you, why are you flirting with this man if he is your friend, friends don't flirt. especially when one is married.. You certainly would not want your husband flirting with one of his single friends. I believe you know that this is not right, or else you would not have even asked.. Please be careful, no hand holding and find a Horror movie to watch at home, with hubby in the next room if he chooses. Good Luck.

I would say your asking for it in more ways than one. Most affairs start in a "comfortable" situation. Be it with a co-worker or a friend, your inviting a problem into your house. It always starts with "just friends" or "a very helpful nice person at work." Soon that friendship can develop into a relationship where you are sharing things with this person that you should only be talking about with your significant other. Some one becomes more interested. Some one wants more than just friends. The fact that you hold hands out in public says your well on your way. Your sending a message out to others now. "We like each other". Just plain old hanging out friends don't usually walk around holding hands. You may not be cheating quite yet, but I would say it's time to back off or you might find yourself doing something you wish you hadn't.

Flirting is the opening to cheating. So just watch your step. What kind of friend would put you into this predicament...and how much do you love your Hubby to respect that HES the one who took and you gave your hand in marriage!
I would be mad if my spouse did that....but that's just me to each his own I guess if your husband knows and he allows either he really trusts you or does not care...Please be careful.

You play with fire and you get burned and you seem to be playing with fire to me. Holding hands? Gimme a break. I think you really like the attention and are more than OK with it. You're just seeking vindication for your misdeeds. Are you that naive to think a guy wants to go out to a movie with you and hold hands? Unless this guy is gay, you got to be kidding me. This definitely crosses the line IMHO.

It not comforting to him, it's sexual. He is just waiting for the right time to make his move. He is holding your hand because he wants to hook up!! I love how you excuse it as "more comforting than sexual." Duh!! You already know the answer to this quesion. What you don't know is the answers to the divorce questions you will asking in a few months!

Harmless flirting with a friend is okay...however the hand-holding is iffy. If you don't think your husband would be kewl with it, don't do it...if you wouldn't be kewl with him holding the hand of a female friend he was spending time with, then don't do it.
