Those geordies seem to think they still support a big club. Typical northerners deluded. They go on about their great support but lets face it there aint that many teams to support up there. Its grim up north and i hope it gets worse when they go down

I hate newcastle so much. They're considered one of the big 5 yet the fact remains they haven't won a domestic trophy since the 1950's. I hate the fact that they're loved by the media, toon army this and king kevin or king kenny that and all that sh!te. As for they're great fans, well I went up there a few years ago in the fa cup (spurs). We lost 1-0 yet we totally outsang the home fans. My mate who was watching the same match on sky said that the commentators kept going on about the great support. Bollox. I would love nothing better than to see newcastle get relgated. Then we''l see who the big club is,like leeds thought they were!

Well considering how little they have won for the last 40 odd years you have to admire the fact that they can still sell out there 50,000 stadium .They are a big club in terms of support ,but not big in terms of success.
Look at Chelsea ,they have won the prem for the last 2 years running and are domestically speaking the most successful side in England yet they still have to advertise on the radio for people to turn up when they play CL fixtures, can you imagine Newcastle having to advertise CL fixtures on the local radio .

i come from lincolnshire and i guess by your question you probably support a London or southern club, i support LFC and don't hate or like Newcastle, just hate Man utd.If your talking about northern clubs surely that includes Liverpool and Man utd ? You know, the most successful ones !? P.S. i like winding people up too ! and don't forget, the best thing to come out of London is the A1 ! Happy New Year !

First off, there is nothing woring with living up north, I have lived all around the country and the most friendliset of people come from the north-east.
I hate Newcastle though, how can you like a club whose chairman calls the local women 'slags' and do their business, ie slagging each other off in the local papers.

the toon army is respected throughout footballing circles as being amongst the best in the world. what boyfriend upset you ? now if you had said the new breed of chelski fans, i'd back you up. If you would be as good to define what makes a football fan, i will give you a more detailed retort.
