Honestly, President Ford's. I was about 9 when he came to Philadelphia. I remember they wanted to land at the Northeast Airport, which is much smaller than the International Airport, and there was a lot of controversy over it. Anyway, they finally let him land there and he came here for something. I think they may have closed the roads along his route to I-95 into town because we were they only ones on that road that runs parallel to that section of I-95. His car was coming and my dad pulled over for us to see it go by. (My dad rarely ever did that.) Ford's car slowed, he rolled down his window, and he waved to us. We could see him inside in the shadows of the car. I've never forgotten that kindness. Most wouldn't have noticed us, let alone wave. It was very exciting for a kid.

I can't really say any of them really affected my life. But, the one who touched me most was when Gerald Levert passed away. I'm an on air personality for a hip hop and r&b radio station, and we got his passing confirmed during my show. So, it was my job to break the bad news. I got sooooo many calls in from listeners who truly were affected because a lot of them had been long time fans. I played a lot of his music, and a lot of the dedications on air. It was really touching. I don't think I'll ever forget that day.

No celebrity death affected me in a way that will impact my future; but their lives did. I stand and bow for all of them.

I am 57, I danced and marched to James Brown's music. His music and lyrics symbolized the changes in the '60's that benefit blacks all over the world. And I am one of them.

Three: Curt Gowdy, Red Auerbach and Coretta Scott King because I selected them in my Dead Pool 2006. Worth a total of 47 points, but not nearly enough to win the pot. I was almost going to pick Gerald Ford, but I didn't (he was only worth 7 points).

Steve Irwin--- I loved that crazy guy! And I thought his family was great too. I'm so sorry he is no longer here for them, nor for the world.
His wonderful enthusiasm and appreciation for all of nature was delightful to share.
I will miss him. He is a small brightness gone from this world.
