No, Eminem was signed to Aftermath Records (Dr. Dre) and Eminem found 50-Cent, signed him to Aftermath/Shady Records. G-Unit is now affiliated w/Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit. So if you have an album it should answer your question. Inter-scope/Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit.

That doesn't even make sense. G-Unit is a band, just like D12 is a band. Why would Eminem's band join 50 Cent's band "for protection"? Like G-Unit's record sales will keep D12 safe from enemies? They're not a body guard service, they're a music group.
