im going next year maybe......but my mom is going the weekend of the 6 and 7 which is the weekend of his b-day and she cant wait but alot of people have told her its not what they expected.....but i guess its just for her to find out......

I was there a few years ago...it's a neat place, but it's in the middle of the ghetto in Memphis. So, if you go out to see it at night, bring a bunch of people with you...unless you go there around the time of Elvis' "death".

My family and I went to Graceland about 6 months ago and I have to say I was quiet impressed. You have to remember, it is kept just as it was when Elvis passed away, so for the time period it is decorated in, it is extremely lavish and luxurious! Elvis's mother decorated the place and she seemed to have a fantastic way of keeping things rather simple, but kept things alive and exciting as was the king of rock and roll. You might want to make reservations and stay at the Heart Break Hotel which is on the grounds across the street from Graceland! You will be taken back to the beginning of his life, the beginning of his awesome career to the moment he passed away and the impact his music has on the world today in music. His cars, awards, planes, and personal memorabilia are a sight that any Elvis fan would cherish to witness at least once in a lifetime. We spent 4 days there and never ran out of things to visit or to just sit in amazement and watch and listen to about the king of rock and roll. Elvis will live forever in our hearts and in our music! Take a good camera and if possible take a video recorder, you will not be sorry you made the trip.
