I "read" it and watched the movie with my friends who are alos fans of the book. We all hated it. It was nothing like the book.
But I am asking for someone who read it and liked the movie. Anyone?

I also read the book and then and watched the movie and was horribly disappointed. I doubt any fans of the book will be happy with the movie because the movie is sooooo off. All I hope is that they don’t TRY to do the “Eldest” and ruin that one too.

The Eragon book is a really good and enjoyable book, I love it. When I went to see the movie I was really excited, I thought I was about to see a really good movie but when I was walking out of the cinema after seeing the movie, I felt like screaming and yelling, the movie is soooo bad, it really is, especially if you have read the book.

I remember that some of the Harry Potter fans were upset last year when the Goblet of Fire movie was released because it left so much information from the book out. I now think that compared to the Eragon movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was ok.
I really don't understand how the people who made the movie could leave so much out and still think that people would like it!
The first Eragon book is four times the size of the first Harry Potter book but the first HP movie was nearly 3 hours long whereas the first Eragon movie goes for 1 hour and 53 minutes.

I was really disappointed with the Eragon movie and my friend and I actually thought seriously about making it again with puppets and miniature sets and knew that our version would be much better then the actual movie.
The Eragon movie is a real embarrassment to the quality of the book.

If your saying that that is what is expected, that information will be left out, I understand that but there is no reason what so ever that Eragon should’ve left so much out, they literally only filmed a third of the book, and the stuff they did put into the movie, they changed completely! Imagine that the people who made Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets made it so Tom Riddle told Harry he was Voldemort at the start of the movie not the end.
The Eragon movie really is a huge disappointment.

I didn't like the movie at all either. The book was fantastic! But the movie lacked a lot of the information that the book withheld.
They totally left out the role of the werecat. And they did not do justice to Jeod or Angela. Terim was horrible! And Saphira! Her voice was not what I thought it would have been at all!
The journey through the Hadarac Desert was completley left our. And Muraugh's character was not justified at all.
The role of Arya was ok. But Brom and her never meet do they?
Overall I don't think that they did justice to th book at all. They rushed to get the movie out.

Its Going to be hard to like the movie if you read the book. Everyone that read the book seems to hate the movie plot. Another dissapoint ment was how short the movie was. It should be a longer movie
