1922 would be a "Peace" dollar. That year had a high number minted, but in good condition should be worth $10 - $20. And don't count on it gaining much more value even if you hold onto it for another 5-10 years.......unless the price of silver goes through the roof.

Are you sure it is just a 1922 Peace dollar. The mint mark if one is located on the reverse (eagle side) under the word one. The 1922 had a mintage of 51,737,000, 1922-D 15,063,000 and the 1922-S 17,475,000. The 1922 is worth $10 in grade good-$24 in middle mint state. The 1922-D $10-$37 as per above grades and the 1922-S $10-$50 the same.

There were two types of this coin.

The first was the Morgan type and there is a heraldic eagle on the reverse they were made at all three mints. Philadelphia has no mint mark but the Denver and San Francisco Minted coins show a mint mark below the eagle (above and between the letters "D" and "O" in the word DOLLAR. In new Brilliant Uncirculated (mint State) grade they sell for up to 25.00 in grades up to Mint State-60.
In circulated grades they sell from 6 to 16 dollars. Depending on mint mark and the amount of wear each has experienced. If it is a Mint State Uncirculated coin from grade 60 to 63 it retails for about $30.

The second 1921 dollar type is named the PEACE Dollar. The eagle reverse shows an eagle at rest (wings folded). This is considered a one year type coin that was struck in high relief and sell for from $20 in grade 8 to $90 in almost uncirculated grades. If you have an Mint State Uncirculated specimen, The price can be much higher if the 1921 is a Peace dollar it is worth from $25 to $90 But if uncirculated about $200 or more.

So anywhere from $6.00 to $200.00 or more depending on which one you have!

It is worth at least a dollar. But depending on the rarity of that particular year and the level of detail preserved in the coin, it could be worth considerably more. Google coin values and see if you can find more info.

Also it may depend on which mint the coin was produced in. Does it have a small D, S, P or other similar letter on it near the date? This tells where it was made Denver, San Fran, Philidelphia, etc.

Check the link, if it is in Very fine condition it is worth about $15

Unless it is in mint or uncirculated (like new condition) then no it is worth only the value of the silver which might be around $6 to $15

One way to get a quick idea is to see if there are any like it for sale on e-bay. That would be a start. Then get it evaluated by an appraiser who specializes in coins. It is probably worth more than a dollar.

Send it to me & I'll let you know.

Kidding

I'd have to say yes it is worth something especially if it's in good condition. If it is you can probably bet it was stolen from someones collection. Pay attention to the mint mark too. There are few rare ones worth lots more money. like O or CS
