I'm a sprinter, I run the 100M, 200M, and 400M, except I always get a nasty case of butterflies and emotion before each race, that I think kinda affects my speed and start. Does anybody have any advice on how to calm those feelings down, or to get emotionless in the blocks so to speak? Any help would be sooooo appreciated!

have you tried meditation?
it helps if you get into a routine that you follow before each race. do the same stretches, tie your shoes the same way, breathe the same way, etc. it helps you get into a mental 'zone' and focus. dont think about the race, or the people, just think about doing your warmups and breathing.

I was the same way in school when I ran track, keep in mind how hard you trained for this race. and how dedicated you are,and the long hours you put into this and that you deserve to win as much as any other sprinter on the track

I'm a distance runner but after many a race the butterflies are still there. it's the adrenaline in anticipation and actually it makes you run faster.. Just know you trained hard for your race and do the best you can do. visualize your finish

if ur tlkn about nervous butterflys, then ther good and make you run faster not slower, if u r runin slower due to it then to calm urself down you should either imagine sumtin to ur liking.

ur picture ur competitors are doing sumtin stupid, i find it relaxing to put my nerves on other ppl.
