The Red Sox have some very good players. David Ortiz is a monster and so is Manny. Shilling and Beckett are real decent pitchers as well.
Derek Jeter is in a class by himself. He is an above average fielder who hits for average. His play has inspired his team. He is definetly Mr. Clutch on the Yankees.

Red Socks??? is it a little league team from the Middle of Nowhere?? Well, I'm not sure though if Jeter is better than them

Derek jeter is way better than any red sox b/c he has class hes a leader when u need him the most he doesn't disappoint

nope, he's over-rated. leadership does far less on a baseball team than in other sports. he's good, and had an excellent season, but he's not what happens when god wants to make the perfect shortstop, as much of the new york media and fans would have you believe. i would take manny, ortiz, and papelbon over jeter anyday. he's over-rated mostly because won several world series very early in his career, and new york fans remember that, and overlook the fact that he doesn't scare opposing pitchers anywhere near as much as alex or giambi. also part of the reason is that he's always been a yankee, and hasn't been signed as a free agent or traded for

im from the west coast, so i show no favoritism towards either team. jeter is a good player but hes not even the best SS or player on his own team, ARod is. id take manram or big papi over jeter anytime.

I hate the yankees and the red sox..........but i can't imagine any real baseball fan saying they would rather have Jeter over David Ortiz.
