I believe that everyone has made some type of contribution to the world, and there is no "worst" person ever. For example, the first answer was Hitler - but he also embodied ideals for a better economic future for the people of his nation, such as "a car in every garage." If it were not for Hitler's good ideas, obviously there would not have been so many people who followed him in those ideas which weren't so alturistic.
