I keep seeing reference to race and race baiting in the Duke LaCrosse case where the lacrosse players have been falsely accused of rape. What exactly IS the race angle? Were the players white and the stripper black or something? I haven't seen any picture s of any of the people involved.

She was a black stripper and apparently a prostitute also who had the DNA of 5 black guys inside of her, none belonging to the white Lacrosse players. From what I hear, she made up the story because she was upset that they only gave her part of the money for stripping at the party because she decided to leave early when the guys started getting too rowdy--even for her. When she got caught drunk in someone else's car later that night and the police were about to arrest her, she made up the story to get out of trouble because she was already on probation.

The Prosecutor Nifong had to know it was a completely made up story, but since he was running for office in a mostly black district, he kept pushing the case to get votes. That's obvious to everyone. He also apparently withheld evidence about the woman having five different black guys' DNA inside of her until just recently when forced to admit i. Yesterday, the North Carolina Bar Association (lawyers' professional society) filed charges against Nifong for official misconduct. That's very unusual so he's probably in very big trouble.

stripper black, players white plus they were supposedly 'privileged white boys' and she a 'poor, black' stripper who was taken advantage of. ironic she got pregnant soon after and just delivered a couple of weeks ago...no the baby isn't any of the players. even the stripper who went with her said she had the scratches on her before hand because she got in a fight with her b/f, also note she had several 'partners' that same day and there was dna (sperm) inside of her that did not match any of the players dna. the thing is if they did do this they should have all been jailed and the key thrown away...but she lies drags them to court and into the major news media, basically ruining an entire year of their lives and their families and guess what happens to her....nothing except someone is writing about her 'story' and she gets $$$ from it.

the players were all white- the strippers black.
the angle is that the black stripper was raped by white guys who treated her badly. she made it up.
and anyway, a stripper going to a party with a bunch of drunk college guys and getting drunk herself? good lord, its a miracle if she wouldn't get something be for real

The fact that TV news has spent so much time on this story is proof that TV news is not worth watching. I hardly ever watch TV news, and when I do tune in occasionally, they spend time talking about unimportant things. Rape is terrible, as is falsely accusing someone, but how can anybody think this story is important?

White suspects, Black victim. D.A. is in a predominately black district. He was up for election this year. Needed the black vote. If he did not prosecute he would have lost the election.
