rap is the most hated genre of all but my problem is if you dont understand or dont care for it dont add your two cents because if you think all rap is rims chains money hoes your ignorant. dont judge the book by its cover if you take a chance to read it and understand it you will probably learn to appreciate it. to all those who say rap is crap you can rock deez nuts.

Oh people are so damn closed minded. For everyone who had a horrible comment about rap, probably haven't listened to more than what was played on the radio. They don't know the history of rap, where it started and why it started. The money, cars, hoes, is what was put into our neighborhoods as a means to destroy us. YOUR GOVERNMENT planned the entire tactic and it worked. So now RAP is a means to escape that life YOUR GOVERNMENT put us into, forcefully! If you don't like it don't listen to it, and don't comment on it. But it's a story of our lives, our struggles, and our goals and ambitions. For your information there is a lot of original beats and musical beds that have been created by very talented producers and engineers, but you closed minded people only judge a book by the cover, and are probably the most ignorant closed minded people in the world. Which is why our country is still full of hate and evilness! If you listen closely, you'll see. And there is some horrible hip-hop music out there, but ALL HIP-HOP is not crap. Don't judge a genre if you are not familiar with it. Simple as that. That's just like me saying y'all are a bunch of racists. But I don't know you so how could I say that (hint hint) A$$holes!!!

Lookin at these other answers kinda makes me sad..... i feel that the people that say that rap is "crap" have only been influenced by the singles and new artists that have come out in the past few years that dont really have as much experience...... Take artists like Jay-Z and Nas for example.... they've been around for years and fans: old and young, black, white and in between, respect them and what they have to say. What most people dont realize is that if a rapper is in fact "crap", their fans will let them know. Just because the stuff that's been coming out lately sucks doesnt mean that rap is the worst music in the world.

Some rappers have borrowed (stolen?) lyrics, chorus, guitar riffs, etc. from other songs. There is little originality, few harmonies, very little of the things that make music, music. That is why I don't listen to rap. However, I do not knock rap. You have the right to listen to whatever you wish. I just thought I would let you know what I do not like about rap.

Rap these days is pointless. It became as gay as Pop and RnB. Most rapper talk about drugs, whores, money and I'm really not interested and no one really gives a F*** about what they think. Rap will always be cRap to everyone. Rappers only wanna rhym and put pointless talk one after the other and i really think that there is much MUCH better music out there that we should listen to other than wasting our time with this cRap

Rap is total crap. Crap about raping women, killing cops,ect. I understand it is a bunch of no talent people making a bunch of money preying off of young kids who's minds aren't fully developed

It's an abomination, its redudant to the hilt, it requires no musical ability whatsoever, topics rarely venture beyond the most crass forms of human activities, its creators embody the worst in mankind, its listeners oscilate to the stuff like buffoons, it is obnoxious in the most infantile form, etc, etc, etc...
That makes it qualify as "crap", my boy.
