I regularly work directly with customers and I'm telling you some people are just sooo stupid. I work at a bank and people are always like "what happened to all my money???" or when I tell them where a purchase was made they say "where is that at? what do they do?" (like I'm supposed to know) or my favorite..."well why are you charging me a non sufficient funds fee?" right after they went and used the money they KNEW they didn't have. Anyway, I guess I'm just wondering what others have to share about outragous customers.

Oh and I have seriously had people say "what do you mean I don't have any money, I still have checks in my book?"

I never said I treated my customers badly. I am the nicest person to them (without them I have no job). I am simply speaking my mind...:-)

You have a job because of those people, too. Maybe they act that way because they are frustrated at the situation all together. Some people when they are upset..like making others around them upset..it gives them a sense of empowerment, I guess. Some people are simply just evil! Some banking facilities offer to waive the over draft fee, simply because maybe the customer forgot they paid a bill....and used the money they wrote the check for unintentionally. Some people always try to find a crack in the system...because they are always pushing the envelope..and have not sense....of the big picture. Guess work wouldn't be called "work" if it was all pleasant. I work with people everyday and I work -two jobs everyday. Sometimes, I get treated like crap...because I am a cashier at a grocery store. I had a woman try to berate me and said...that is why you work in a grocery store...like it was a bad thing. Some people just can't get the higher paying jobs.

I also work at a bank and I understand completely what you are saying. It's like hello.... if you don't have the money don't spend it and then you won't be charged a fee. Oh and don't write bad checks either because guess what??? There's a fee for that! And most of the time when the checks bad, the accts. overdrawn so you now have a NSF fee and returned check fee. Some people make me wonder...

I worked in customer service once, it was the worse job in the history of my life! American people are so ridiculously rude and a**backward! People will actually try to take their misery out on customer service reps, instead of their husbands or wives or whomever is causing the *real* issues.
I'm working on my degrees BA/MA, to ensure that I never have to work with the ignorant American public again. It is amazing that America is considered the greatest country in the world, with all of these idiots on the loose.
p.s.
You're right, how are YOU supposed to know what happened to THEIR money? idiots....

It takes all kinds of people to make the world go 'round. Don't get mad at them. Just let it boost your ego that you don't make that sort of mistake. I'm terrible with money, too. But I have other positive qualities. Some of the people who don't know where their money went may be able to overhaul a transmission, or grow a wonderful garden. If they were good with #'s, they might have your job!!

Customers always act like its your fault... I know, and I can not stand it. I work for an air conditioning company and i get the irate customers all the time yelling at me because the heat or air will not work. They act like I came to their house and broke it... when in reality they had not cleaned the filter in months. People just want to blame someone else for their mistake.

my one job is at a resturaunt, we do take-out too and on the weekends i'm in charge of that. i get people who get really made when i tell them its a 20 minute wait and they've been waiting 5 minutes already. or when people come up and give me their order like i dont understand the language they're talking in, and then they're like "got it?". i just want to be like "look, i'll be the last person handling your food. do you want to rephrase that???"
and then my other job is at a real estate office. people call in all the time asking about some property and i tell them i'll transfer them to that agent, because i just have a list as to who has what, and then they get all mad at me cause i dont have the info they want. i'm like, "i answer the phones.... i dont know about every property in the virginia dc metro region, thats why i'm TRANSFERING YOU TO THE AGENT"
and then they call right back.
ARGH!!!!!
