Of course the Sabres will fall apart. It's tradition. I've never been a fan but lived near Buffalo for 30 years so I know all the cheers....."OOH AHH Sabres on the golf course" and the ever popular "Wait till next year". If you've ever been to a game you've seen the "First Aid for Choking" signs at HSBC Arena. That's not for someone who took a big bite of their beef on weck.

fall apart? no. Injuries? no. I know for a fact that this team has one goal to win the stanley cup. In every interview I read that is all they talk about. keep up the momentum through the season and playoffs? yes. these are highly trained athletes. We may get Connelley back sometime in the second half. We have an outstanding defence (most people would disagree) but that is what makes them great they do the little simple things that make them great. We have a great offence (no one standout player with an ego to deal with) this team beleives in eachother. When you have a team that beleives in eachother then the cup is the limit.
Now lets talk Miller: he is fifth in overall wins, he has faced 833 shots let in 71 some may have been easy but every goaltender has done that even Hasek the best goaltender ever... they seem to play much better when they have something to play for. In the playoffs they will be playing for one thing the CUP! As far as leaving the city if the Sabres don't win: Please leave now we don't want people like you in our city. You gotta beleive Buffalo and if you don't then you never did.
LETS GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the Carolina playoff series should count against the Sabres. So many guys ended up hurt last season that by the end of game four, Carolina was basically playing against the Rochester Americans. I love the Sabres and I know that they can do amazingly well, but I remember the years following their Cup run in '99 and the suckage that occurred. Do I think that they can keep up the pace they set in the first two weeks of the season and still have steam left for the playoffs? No way! I do think, however, that they function as a cohesive unit better than most other teams out there. There are no superstars, just talented guys who know how to work together and play off each other's strengths. I think they'll be able to remain competitive throughout the season and into the playoffs, and hopefully bring home something large and shiny with their names written on it. Carolina's kind of meh this season if you ask me, and besides, what Western New Yorker would want to attach their loyalty to an organization that prides itself on playing "redneck hockey"? *shudders* I'd rather root for the Leafs than do that!

OK first of all buffalo only lost last year cause the defense man like jay McKee were all injured and Sabre's won the hurricane series all four games this year we beat them and tonight when we beat Atlanta thrashers 4-1 we have probably a 95% chance of winning the Stanley cup against the ducks

well the Canes might not even make the playoffs this year pure luck last year by winning the Stanley cup. But the Sabres are playing some good hockey i don't think they have what it takes to win it all. first things first Ryan Miller yes hes looking great but that's with a team that is scoring over 4 goals a game and that really helps allot on his stats but he still leaves in those easy goals and that's a no no in the playoffs when everybody level goes up in the playoffs.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You need to pay attention. The Sabres have slapped the Hurricanes around this season. Forget last year.
I am always concerned about a team that is hot right out of the gate because they usually go ice cold before the playoffs. My Flyers taught me that very well. That's why.....
SNIDER MUST GO !!!!!

They won;t so much fall apart as fail to meet expoectations. Teams that lose in the Final or Semi-Finals tend to not make it back that far the following season.
Look, at maybe picking Atlanta (that SE Div.) or NY Rangers (Lundqvist won't be burnt out from Olys like in '06) to go deep.

1st: wht makes you think this team is the same as past, they will keep it together
2nd: the only reason we lost to the 'canes last yr was b/c they played more "lets kill them phyiscally than pay hockey" hockey
3rd: if ya thinking bout becoming a 'canes fan you shouldn't even b allowed to b near the city of buffalo, or b a ture sabres fan like all those new fans tht like the sabres cuz of our great season last yr.

Definately not as long as there aren't any injuries like last year in the playoffs. Ryan Miller is another key to their success, as long as he stays focussed and we don't need to call on Marty Biron for help we should be good.
