Oh Brother!!! Jay-Z is one of the best, but I think T.I. & Lil Wayne are really lyrically knocking rappers out the ring. I love Ludacris as well, but the Nas and Jay-Z albums are to die for (Real Hip-Hop at it's best). I wonder sometimes why people who aren't hip-hop fans would waist the time to click the link, and answer the question. This question was for hip-hop fans MOVE ON!

Eminem and I will ALWAYS say that until someone else can pull off what he did! The odds were on him bigtime and he still kept going..not only being a good rapper but he's a little white guy that did it.and a good job to..changed Vanilla Ice status...lol..after that my choice would be Ludacris.

Why has no one said Snoop Dogg? His style is very distinct, his songs stand out in that sea of music that we call rap.
After Snoop I'd say Jay-Z, then Kanye West. Just because they actually experiment with their music and make an attempt at making music, not making a "hit."
