It is called the Mirena IUD. The person who said they implant it into your cervix doesn't know what they are talking about. The IUD is implanted in your UTERUS! I am including the website below, so you can take a look around.

If you have to say "I think" after your say something then chances are you don't know what you are talking about people!

its an iud called the mirena. it works great after you get over the initial spotting that seems to last for a while - im still spotting and its been 6 months.

I have an IUD that lasts for 10 years- it will be taken out in 2014! You can get an IUD with or without hormones-the ones WITH hormones are good for 5 years, or without hormones are good for 10 years. My doctor told me they are equally effective, so I thought why mess with my hormones? You need to have had a child to have one implanted though.
