No. Here is my theory:
Albus Dumbledore knows that the only way Harry is ever going to get close enough to Voldemort is to have an ally on the inside. Therefore, he was going to put someone into position: Severus Snape.
He ordered Snape to kill him, because that was the only way that Voldemort would ever trust Snape again. Remember, Dumbledore was a very smart man.
I have quite a lot of evidence to back this up..but remember right before Dumbledore died...J.K. Rowling said that he was begging? Dumbledore...begging for his life? No....Dumbledore had to be begging Snape to carry out his mission..which is why Snape was glaring at him with such venomence. He obviously didn't want to kill Dumbledore.
Now, Snape is in a position to help Harry when the time comes.
So, what do you think? I am absolutely sure I'm right, due to other evidence I did not list. So no...Dumbledore did not fake his death..he is dead.
(Remember the Pheonix's song?)

Yes, I do believe he was killed. However.......
(Now, keep in mind, the following is just one of the many good theories behind the very complicated series Harry Potter has become. You can give me a thumbs down if you like, but I'm sticking to my guns...after all...we could ALL be wrong in the end, so for now, I'll gather my own conclusions....as are you)
I like the idea that Dumbledore has a horcrux.(as written by Jan-Marie Spanard in "Dumbledore's horcrux") Yes, yes...some may say it's an evil thing, because you must kill someone in order for your soul to be split and save it in a horcrux BUT you must remember that some killings are not done out of anger. Let's think back to the card that came with the chocolate frog in the very first book...one of the things mentioned about Dumbledore on the back of his card was that he defeated Grindlewald...but did he kill him? If he did, then it was probably in order to save the ones he loved. Perhaps he killed someone by accident?
So, let's just say that he did kill Grindelwald (hypotheticaly speaking)...his soul would split, and being a man of sound mind and great intelligence, Dumbledore might just take the opportunity to create a horcrux for himself. (No one ever said that a horcrux itself was a bad thing, just the idea of how one is created) Now...the question is -- where to put it? He may put it into an object, like the diary of Tom Riddle, but something of that nature could easily be destroyed. Hmmmmmm....perhaps Dumbledore was on the right track thinking that Nagini may be one of Voldemort's horcruxes...so if Voldy can put his soul into an animal, then so could Dumbledore.....
So, being such a smart cookie...his best bet is to use his good friend Fawkes...an animal that cannot be destroyed. Sure, he would burst into flame, but he would be reborn. (Gee, isn't it a coincidence that Dumbledore's tomb also burst into flame?) And Fawkes...singing the sullen song of poor lost Dumbledore at the end of the book...why was that brought up so often? Why didn't Fawkes save him from Snape at the end, as he did so many times before? Because that's the way it's supposed to be.
As in any "war" suprise attacks work to the attacker's advantage...if Voldemort believes Dumbledore to be dead, and he may or may not be, there's something waiting for he who shall not be named off in the wings, and I'm sure he won't like it.
This Idea is included on the website you mentioned in your question...very intriguing, and quite probable.
So, yes, Dumbledore was killed....but that doesn't mean he didn't have a "plan B".
This question could be pondered for a long time (or at least to next summer, when Ms. Rowling finaly tells the world the story).

Who knows? Snape had worked as an agent of Voldemort before turning up as a spy. Dumbledore had kept Snape from teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts, for some reasons that remain undisclosed, and to be honest, while Snape obviously held a great amount of dislike for Snape, he really wasn't all that more unfair towards him than anyone else. So, I guess I think Dumbledore's not really dead.
Or maybe he is dead and Snape is going back to his old roots as a double agent to embark on a suicide mission to assassinate Voldemort.

I don't think so. I don't believe he would put people through that kind of pain. Plus only after dying could the heads of Hogwarts enter their portraits and Dumbledore was in his when Harry went to the office to speak to Professor McGonagall

Well... I like very much Albus Dumbledore and i'm sorry for his death... but if J.K.Rowling told that he is undoubtely definitively dead we must admit this ... because J.K Rowling is the owner of her characters and she decides their destiny.

J. K. Rowling has specifically said (I was there--in NY--in August--I heard her) that Dumbledore is really and truly dead.

I seriously doubt it- he's already been buried in the White Tomb so he can't come back to life, unless he chooses to become a Hogwarts ghost.
