Yes, it's true, Phaedras, but mostly because Youth is wasted on the Young.
*In other words, the beauty of youth isn't recognized or realized, until it is gone, or at least fading.
A matter of mind, really I think; the young have so many distractions, so many pretties to be amazed by. Maybe that's why so many older celebraties are hoping that plastic surgery keeps them "youthful looking".
Less emphasis is given to the wonder of age and wisdom, of the genuine beauty of being a senior, elderly.... ((UGHhhhhh))

It's true. But when does youth fade? At age 18? Maybe at age 25 or so I started to enjoy it more, knowing it would eventually fade. Good rule is to enjoy your inner and outer beauty at whatever age!

in someway I think that holds truth, when I was younger (so much younger than today,..oh sorry I felt like being cheesy) err anyway I think that we look to into what everyone elses view of beauty is when we are young. We do not see the power of it or the true beauty till we get older, when young you feel you will be forever that way and so will the things around you.

Unfortunately that seems to be true. We are in our prime, physically, but with age comes wisdom and more self-confidence, but sometimes our bodies can't keep up. But, I think there is beauty in every age...it just changes :)

Yes I think that is true to an extent. As you get older you (hopefully) also get wiser and have a better perspective. Oh and thank you for asking an intelligent question! =)

I don't know. . .I feel more power and beauty now. . .at 36. . .than I did in my younger years.
I think there's more beauty and power in maturity. I know more about who I am than I did in my teens or 20's. Far more comfortable in my own space now.
Love your questions, Phaedrus ;)

Yes, unfortunately, it is true. I look at my high school picture and think of how pretty and thin I was and wonder why I didn't think so then.
